Day 1 - Arrive in Urumqi and explore the exotic city
Welcome to Xinjiang! Your tour guide will meet you at the rümqi Diwopu International Airport. Then be escorted to your hotel in a private vehicle. The rest of today is yours to explore the mysterious city on the Silk Road.

Day 2 - Desert Poplar Forest & Karamay Ghost Castle
After a nice hotel breakfast buffet, let’s head for the bizarre yet fascinating poplar forest in the desert. Every one of the trees is in unique shape and they’ve all been growing there since thousands of years ago. Then, let’s go explore the magic “Ghost Castle”. Named as one of the world’s most beautiful Yardang Landform by National Geographic, this place has all the Tim Burton dark fantasy vibes with huge castle looking rocks standing in the middle of the desert, which is caused by wind erosion. The sunset there is magnificent!

Day 3 - Kanas – Appreciate the top 1 autumn scenery in China
After breakfast, we will transfer to Kanas. Prepare to be stunned by the absolutely transcendent views! Known as “the back garden of the gods”, “the last frontier on earth”, Kanas has been rated as the top 1 autumn destination in China by both CNN and Conde Nast Traveler. Take your leisure time to enjoy the breathtaking landscape of Kanas Lake full day. Kanas Lake takes on different colors with the change of weather and seasons. The lake takes the shape of falcate with 6 platforms projecting inward. Every platform has its own legend.

Day 4 – More Kanas and then the fairy tale like Hemu Village
Explore the world-famous Kanas River that wriggles in valleys, and creates three zigzag bays with beautiful names – Celestial Bay, Moon Bay and Recumbent Dragon Bay. Along the two sides of Kanas River are forests with alternate colors of red, orange and golden. The trees, sky and cloudy together project in the river, and appear a colorful reflection. After that, we’ll head for the beautiful Hemu Village. The vast golden birch forests and green grasslands surround the peaceful village, together appear charming colors like a oil painting. Sunset here is fabulous. You can walk up to a higher hill to find the panoramic views of Humu Village in the golden sunlight.

Day 5 – From Hemu Village to the magic Rainbow Beach
Get up early to catch the incredible sunrise which is also the MUST photo to be shot. When the sun rises and shines onto the mist curling up the villages, it is the moment to press your shutter. The rest time is free for you to explore the fairy tale like village. After lunch, we will visit the spectacular Rainbow Beach. Stones were weathered into many vivid shapes like soaring hills, deep valley, criss-cross streets, tower, etc. After thousands years of geological changing, the bank was paintef into different colors. The Five-Color Bank, together with the nearby rivers and trees,  present you a gorgeous scene under the sunlight.

Day 6 – Koktokay National Geological Park
After breakfast, we will go to visit Koktokay National Geological Park where you can see many kinds of ever-beautiful and marvelous views, such as stone hills of various shapes, colorful white birches, crystal lake surrounded by green forests, gigantic seismic fault...

Day 7 – No.3 Mine and Cocoa Suri Lake
Visit the extremely rare granite pegmatite mine - No.3 mine, where is a former secret mine used to payoff debt of Soviet Union. After that, we will head for the beautiful Cocoa Suri Lake, a vivid wet land area abundant with wild animals. Then we will drive back to Urumqi. Enroute we will pass through Kala Maili Ungulates Nature Reserve. Enjoy the stunning landscape and amazing wild animals along the road.

ABOUT Tour ATTRACTIONS

Kanas Nature Reserve

Kanas, which means 'rich and beauty, mysterious and enigmatical' in Mongolian, might be the most alluring resort in northern Xinjiang. The highlight of the Nature Reserve would probably be Kanas Lake. Originating from the Kanas Glacier in Altay Mountain, the Kanas River runs through the mountains for about 125 kilometers (77.7 miles) and the lake is like a pearl shining on the beautiful river. From September to May, the water is dazzling turquoise. The mountains surrounding the lake are covered with dense alpine forests filled with spruce, birch, elm, and Siberian larch. In the Fall, the forests provide a vivid backdrop of colors, an unspoiled dazzlingly beauty rarely found throughout the rest of China.

Desert Poplar Forest

Xinjiang is home to one of the world’s only Poplar Forrest Natural Reserves. These trees, which are often described as “living fossils”, look gnarly and twisted and turn a colorful yellow and orange during the autumn months.

Karamay Ghost Castle

So named because of the sounds the wind makes when passing through these landforms, Karamay’s Ghost Castle is a collection of what is known as “Yardang” formed by wind erosion. Ghost Castle’s claim to fame is that scenes from the well-known Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon movie were filmed here (among many other, lesser-known Chinese films).

Hemu Village

Hemu Village is within Burjin County in the north of Xinjiang, close to the Mongolian and Russian borders. It is a small village inhabited by hundreds of households with over 1000 people. They are mostly Mongols, Kazakhstan and Tuwa people.

Hemu Village is located on the plain ringed by the mountains on all sides with Hemu River passing through. Outside the villages are rows of poplar trees and  birch trees. When autumn comes, layer upon layer of trees are dabbled with golden colors, a scene of typically primeval forest . Just walking up on the north bank, you look down at the village submerged in the fall foliage, a palette of colors.

Rainbow Beach

Located along the Irtysh (Ertix) River in northern Xinjiang, Wucaitan is definitely worth visiting during your Xinjiang trip. Unlike Karamay Ghost City a couple hours to the south, the draw of Wucaitan is the fascinating combination of colorful rock, riverbed and greenery. At dawn and dusk, the sun has a way of causing these rocks to glow with vibrant colors. Wind-worn rock formations ranging from 5 to 25 meters in height line the bank of the only river whose waters reach the Arctic Ocean. Wooden pathways snake through the colorful arrangement to provide various angles for incredible photographic opportunities.

Koktokay National Geopark

Covering an area of over 788 square kilometers in northeastern Xinjiang, Koktokay is a large natural scenic area consisting of Kalaxianger Earthquake Fault Zone, Irtysh Grand Canyon, Cocoa Sullivan scenic area and Ilaymu Lake.

Koktokay is rated as a rare "museum of earthquake remains", an "exhibition gallery of natural ores" and "the home of gems". The 100-kilometer-long grand canyon is full of bizarre granite peaks, thick forest and turbulent rivers. The peaceful blue lakes are embellished with mountains, green woods, grasslands, cottages, playing kids, working minorities, etc. The scenery varies with the seasons.

The No.3 mine

Located beside the Koktokay town, the he No.3 mine is an extremely rare granite pegmatite mine, where 84 kinds of minerals have been found, such as lithium, beryllium, niobium, emerald, aquamarine, emerald, etc. The stress field, terrain, vegetation, hydrological changes, etc of the earthquake remains are of great importance for scientists to research and for tourists to learn popular science.

Urumqi City

Urumqi, the capital of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region in northwest China, is just like a piece of emerald embedded at the foot of the Tianshan Mountains. As home to 49 minority ethnic groups, this graceful prairie city is an important stop along the ancient Silk Road, leading to Central Asia and even as far as Europe.

Xinjiang International Grand Bazaar in Urumqi is the biggest bazaar in the world, covering a wide area of 39,888 square meters (47,706 square yards). Bazaar refers to a market or fair in Arabic. Brand Islamic buildings and prosperous booths make it the ideal place for visitors to ensure the unique ethnic flavor of the local Uyghur. Sometimes, Uyghur street singers and dancers give an impromptu performance.

· Comfortable hiking shoes are very important because you will be walking most of the time in mountain areas.
· The temperature difference is HUGE in Xinjiang, it’s very important to bring extra clothes with you. We recommend water-proof outdoor jacket, light-weight down jacket, scarves and enough T-shirts.
· It’s necessary to prepare energy snacks for the long drive and long hike. ·Suitcase, backpack. A backpack is a good choice to put all the necessities: rain gear, water, camera, electric torch, medicines etc.
· Sun block and sun glasses, hats and lip balm are essential to protect you from sun and windburns.
· Basic medical supplies, perhaps a small first aid kit plus medicines for ordinary ailments, such as aspirin, travel sickness tablets and other tablets.

*Xinjiang is big. The drive route will be long. Its highly recommended to bring extra water and snake for the road.

*Xinjiang is famous for its stunning nature and exotic cultures, but the living condition is limited compare to big cities in the east. The food is heavy. It’s important to bring some medicines just in case.

*Xinjiang is rich in minority culture. Please respect the culture and customs of local people and follow the guide of your tour leader when getting in touch with them.

第1天：各地—乌鲁木齐

今天是乌鲁木齐集合日。根据团队航班到达乌鲁木齐地窝堡机场时间，安排统一接机，送至集合日酒店入住休息！如果到达乌鲁木齐时间较早，还可以安排下乌鲁木齐市区的游玩活动。想要了解新疆人文地理历史的，可以去【新疆博物馆】（周一闭馆，16：30前进入）；想去体验异域风情，并淘货的，可以去【二道桥国际大巴扎】。既然到了乌鲁木齐当然不能错过当地的美食啦，千万不要错过新疆的大盘鸡，辣子鸡，还有外焦里嫩的烤羊排。建议可以买点新疆的水果（比如苹果、香梨等）带在身边。感兴趣的游侠，还可以前往新疆大剧院观看一场《千回西域》的大型实景演出（演出参考时间：北京时间20:00-21:20分）。

第2天：乌鲁木齐-乌尔禾胡杨林-乌尔禾魔鬼城-乌尔禾

早餐后出发（参考时间：北京时间8-8:30），经天山北麓绿洲前往准噶尔盆地中的石油之城乌尔禾。途中城镇午餐，下午到达【乌尔禾胡杨林】。游玩拍摄“活着千年不死，死后千年不倒，倒后千年不朽”的胡杨林，每一棵都生长成桀骜不驯的姿态，或竖或斜地挺立在沙化的土地上，神秘之中透露着生机与希望。之后前往被《中国国家地理》评选为“中国最美三大雅丹”的【乌尔禾魔鬼城】。千万年的大风侵蚀，形成形状怪异、神工鬼斧的风城地貌，偶尔卷起的狂沙似要将你吞噬，我们将在这里等候绝美的魔鬼城日落（视天气情况而定）。游玩拍摄后我们返回乌尔禾酒店，晚上自由寻觅当地美食（烤肉、抓饭、丸子汤等）。

第3天：乌尔禾-喀纳斯

早餐后出发前往“人间净土”“神的后花园”【喀纳斯】。随着车辆逐渐进入阿勒泰山，沿途五彩斑斓的秋色让我们惊叹不已，而这只是一个小序曲。午后我们换乘区间车进入“色彩斑斓的童话”【喀纳斯】，这里的秋天俨然是被打翻了调色板，树叶逐渐呈现出红色、明黄、褐黄、绿色等，再加上蓝天白云、巍峨雪峰的映衬，活脱脱的人间仙境。
抵达喀纳斯换乘中心后，换景交车前往【喀纳斯湖】湖边，沿着湖滨栈道，欣赏两岸的金黄秋色。随后我们将自选登上海拔2030米【观鱼台】，与湖面的垂直落差600多米，这里是喀纳斯湖的最佳观赏点（视野广阔，喀纳斯尽收眼底）。游玩之后，适时前往酒店入住休息。

第4天：喀纳斯-禾木

一早早餐后前往著名的【喀纳斯三湾】（神仙湾、月亮湾、卧龙湾），游玩欣赏神仙湾（早晨一般会有梦幻的晨雾）、美丽朦胧的月亮湾、卧龙湾，也可以根据体力情况，沿着喀纳斯河徒步一小段（月亮湾-卧龙湾，3KM，下坡为主），边走边拍。之后适时离开喀纳斯景区，换乘景交车进入“神的自留地”【禾木】，到达禾木村安排好房间后，游玩体验图瓦人的风土人情，禾木的自然风光！如果有兴趣可以骑马，前往拍摄美丽的大小美丽峰（费用自理，骑马注意安全）。旁玩时分前往【禾木观景台】，俯拍禾木村全景，夕阳下炊烟袅袅的图瓦村落，牛羊牧归。晚上住宿景区内，有兴趣的可以继续星空创作。

第五天：禾木-五彩滩-布尔津

伴随东方泛起鱼肚白，大家可以自行前往【禾木观景台】，打卡著名的“禾木的晨雾”，当然，佛系的童鞋可选择继续呼呼。晨光熹微，洒在金色的白桦林和西伯利亚松林，晨雾飘荡在山谷中，炊烟升起，美轮美奂，非常震撼。早餐后，在禾木村继续自由活动，可以在沿着禾木河畔散散步，抓拍禾木村的人文，去白桦林捕捉秋天的痕迹，也可以在院子里晒着太阳，喝喝茶、看看书、发发呆，这才是向往的生活。上午我们有充足时间在禾木景区内游玩。午后离开禾木前往著名的“天下第一滩”【五彩滩】，五彩滩地处额尔齐斯河北岸的阶地上，与对岸浓郁的河谷风光遥相辉映，可谓“一河隔两岸，自有两重天”。夕阳西下的额尔齐斯河岸，色彩斑斓，河水淙淙，夕阳吊桥。适时返回酒店休息，晚上可以结伴前往布尔津著名的河堤夜市寻觅地道新疆美食，品尝当地的特色佳肴！

第六天：布尔津-可可托海国家地质公园-可可托海镇

早餐后，沿额尔齐斯河一路东行，前往【可可托海地质公园】（即：额尔齐斯大峡谷），途中午餐，下午游玩【可可托海地质公园】，游玩之后前往酒店入住。

第七天：可可托海镇-三号矿坑-可可苏里湖-乌鲁木齐

早餐后，前往游玩参观【三号矿坑】，之后离开可可托海，途中游玩【可可苏里湖】，之后穿越准噶尔盆地，经卡拉麦里有蹄类动物保护区，返回乌鲁木齐。入住酒店休息。

【景点介绍】

★ 喀纳斯风景区：喀纳斯景区位于阿勒泰地区的布尔津县境内的深山密林中，是国家5A级旅游景区。沿喀纳斯河一路观光，欣赏西伯利亚落叶松原始森林、白桦林风景，神仙塆，卧龙湾，月亮湾，鸭泽湖。喀纳斯湖在阳光照射下河水流光溢彩，连树上的叶子都随风摇曳、闪闪发光，乍看去仿佛无数珍珠任意撒落。加上这里常有云雾缭绕、超凡脱俗、如梦如幻，使人看了如临仙境一般，它被《中国国家地理》杂志评为“中国醉美湖泊”。喀纳斯湖四周雪峰耸峙，绿坡墨林，湖光山色，美不胜收。

★ 乌尔禾胡杨林：分布于克拉玛依市乌尔禾区白杨河大峡谷景区、乌尔禾镇以及黄羊泉等区域近30万亩的胡杨林，将乌尔禾裹上了一层金黄的颜色。胡杨是一道风景，是它用自己三个一千年的时间构造出的一道独特的风景。或生而不死，或死而不倒，或倒而不朽，生生死死三千年。走近胡杨林，你会发现胡杨林犹如一座天然艺术宫殿，它盘根错节，千姿百态，美丽而独特。置身在胡杨林，就像来到了一个金色的海洋。几缕阳光从树冠里射进来，使叶子更加金光闪闪，好像是长在摇钱树上的金叶子，让人喜爱！

★ 乌尔禾魔鬼城：乌尔禾魔鬼城又称风城，位于准噶尔盆地西部边缘。乌尔禾魔鬼城是间歇洪流冲刷和强劲风力吹蚀共同作用形成的。远眺魔鬼城，宛若中世纪的一座古城堡，但见堡群林立，大小相间，高矮参差，错落重迭，给人以凄森苍凉恐怖之感。魔鬼城是由赭红与灰绿相间的白垩纪水平砂、泥岩，遭流水侵蚀与风力旋磨、雕刻形成的各类风蚀地貌形态的组合，形态万千，令人目不暇接。

★ 禾木：禾木旅游风景区位于阿尔泰山脉中麓，这里保存着自然、原始的山野风光，风景独美，禾木河自东北向西南流淌，原始落村与大草原和谐自然的融于一体，十分壮观。禾木村中所有的房屋都是朴素的小木屋，散步在山间谷地里，当地少数民族在院子里劳作，显得古朴安静。河水是浅蓝色的，非常清澈。在小河、木屋、炊烟、桦林以及木桥上放牧的牧羊人中的穿梭，仿佛走进了传说中霍比特的家园-夏尔。

★ 五彩滩：五彩滩又称五彩河岸，位于额尔齐斯河流域，由于长期受风蚀水蚀以及淋溶等自然作用的影响而形成的，属于典型的雅丹地貌。五彩滩的特别，还由于它色彩绚烂，形状缤纷。经过千万年风蚀雨剥以及河水的冲刷，在几乎寸草不生的河滩上出现了红、绿、紫、黄、棕等鲜艳的色彩。

★ 可可托海风景区：可可托海位于北疆阿勒泰地区的富蕴县东北侧，是一般游客游玩北疆喀纳斯环线路上会前往的重要景点。景区里有幽深的峡谷、清澈透明的河流、陡峭秀丽的山峰，环境非常优美。在峡谷之间还有大面积的桦树、杨树和松树林，最适合秋天前来，此时树叶金黄绚烂，而森林背后的山顶此时也开始积雪好像漂亮的雪山，山林河水相映，是摄影的绝佳之选。

★ 可可苏里湖：可可苏里，是额尔齐斯河散落在大地上的一颗珍珠，一片湿地。镜一样的湖面，纯净的饱满的蓝，托起丛丛碧绿可爱的芦苇，就像秋日里唯美的赞美诗。随风荡漾的芦苇为你更添了一份柔美，让人想起南国、水乡，禁不住生出水一样的柔情。碧波蓝空里，有鸳鸯戏水、有海鸥掠过、有白鹭起舞、有黑鹤展翅、有灰雁惊鸣。湖光山色中，好一幅诗情画意的画卷，好一派田园风光，好一个西北边陲上的水乡泽国。

★ 地质圣坑--三号脉：被地质学家誉为“麦加”的三号矿坑就在额尔齐斯河上,是世界上最大的矿坑，在60年代曾为国家偿还了前苏联三分之一的债务。三号矿脉形状较为独特，该矿历经50年的采掘，使三号矿脉由原先高出地表数百米的高耸辉长岩山体，已经挖成深200米、长250米、宽200米的大坑。出现了现实中的“愚公移山”景观。。湖边山壁上的层层旋环运矿车道，状如古罗马的巨型“斗兽场”气势颇为壮观。

【建议装备】
1.身份证、护照原件,足够的现金。
2.新疆早晚温差大，北疆喀纳斯以及伊犁地区早晚最好是三件套（冲锋衣+抓绒衣+T恤）。新疆气候干燥，不太出汗，所以不会像江南这样黏答答的每天都要换衣服。
3.雨具带上。帽子、太阳镜、防晒霜、润唇膏、洗漱用品
4.带拉杆箱+小背包是最佳搭配
5.带保温杯（新疆水质较硬，刚刚开始，喝烧开的水较好）
6.自带感冒、肠胃药等常用药品
7.新疆饮食以面食、牛羊肉为主，喜欢瓜蔬的朋友也不用担心，新疆的水果是国内最好的，日照长糖分足，甜！

【旅游注意事项】
1天气：早晚温差大，不同区域温度差异较大，草原森林夏季温度一般在15~30度左右，需要注意增减衣服。帽子、太阳镜必备。
2新疆旅游资源丰富，景色迷人，但大多数地区条件还较落后，住宿及餐饮等条件和中东部以及大城市相比还有差距，大家平常心看待；饮食以面食和牛羊肉等为主，菜口味偏重。带一些肠胃药物非常有必要。
3新疆地理位置位于东六时区，北京位于东八时区，故新疆与内地大多城市有2小时时差，作息时间相应推后2小时。
4新疆是少数民族地区，宗教色彩浓厚，信仰伊斯兰教的民族是不吃猪肉的，这是他们在生活中最大的禁忌，绝对不可冒犯。因此，旅游者应注意不要在清真餐厅携带食用有猪肉的食品或者公开谈论有关猪肉的话题，以免造成不必要的误会。为尊重穆斯林的习俗，新疆称猪肉为大肉。
