Most foreign Chinese learners are notified from beginning that Chinese has thousands of characters. Comparing to 26 English characters, thousands of Chinese characters are too many, too difficult to remember, to write, to pronounce, and to type, so most of foreign Chinese learners are afraid of, and turn back to Chinese characters, only learn some oral Chinese instead.
This widely accepted concept "thousands of Chinese characters" may not be right any more.
In this series of articles, we will explain a new concept about Chinese writing and typing, which breaks down thousands Chinese characters to dozens of core components, then use 25 characters to represent these components, to compose, to write and type thousands of these Chinese characters (words).
In this concept, thousands Chinese characters become thousands of words, which are composed with dozens of core components, and are coded and input by 25 characters.
In 4~6 hours, foreign Chinese learners will get complete knowledge and skills of Chinese writing & typing, and can put this skills in immediately use, Chinese learners will find out learning Chinese is much simpler and more effective nowadays.

A Chinese word can be a simple word (1-3 characters) or a complex word (more than 3 characters).
For a simple word, word's codes is the ordered characters' codes.
For a complex word, there are two coding rules.
Rule 1 : Dividing word to at most 3 parts, get at most 3 main codes (3 parts, 3 codes):
Rule 2 : Derivative Character
Derivative chararacter: one of 4 basic strokes (一丨丿丶) + core char = (forming)Derivative char, such as:
In a complex word, derivative character takes its core char's code.
Phrase coding rule: Each Phrase has (at most) 4 codes:
