Telegram确认将TON启动截止日期延至明年4月30日

Telegram在一封给投资者的电子邮件中正式确认，大多数投资者同意推迟启动TON的发布，而不是退还资金。该邮件显示：“我们很高兴通知您，我们已经成功获得了预售和A阶段绝大多数投资者的同意，将TON网络启动的截止日期延长到2020年4月30日。”



Investors in Telegram’s blockchain project have opted to stick with the firm despite the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)’s recent injunction against the messaging platform’s token offering.
Both groups of investors in Telegram’s twin $850 million funding rounds have now agreed to accept extensions for the Telegram Open Network launch following the Oct. 23 deadline.
An email sent to one group of investors and obtained by CoinDesk reads:
“We are happy to share with you that we have successfully obtained the consent of a significant majority of investors in both the Pre-Sale and Stage A to extend the deadline for the Network Launch to 30 April 2020. We would like to thank everyone for your support. This extension allows us to proceed with the necessary regulatory work described in our last e-mail.”
The offer to accept the extension was sent to TON investors a week after the SEC’s Oct. 11 injunction claiming the gram token is a security.
Under the terms of the agreement, a majority of ICO investors would either agree to extend the token issuance date or receive 77 percent of their initial investment back. Each investor cohort had to agree as well, meaning one group could have been refunded while the other held onto the promise of gram tokens. The issuance of the token is now slated for April 30, 2020.
“We voted to wait, although we’re sure Telegram will not be able to clear things with the SEC,” one of the TON investors told CoinDesk on the condition of anonymity.
“We are happy to share with you that we have successfully obtained the consent of a significant majority of investors in both the Pre-Sale and Stage A to extend the deadline for the Network Launch to 30 April 2020. Galaxy Digital将于11月推出2支新比特币基金

Galaxy Digital Asset Management, a division of the merchant bank Galaxy Digital, is launching two bitcoin funds in November, according to a source with direct knowledge of the matter.
Headed by billionaire ex-hedge fund manager Michael Novogratz, Galaxy is offering the funds to give accredited investors low-fee, institutionally managed bitcoin exposure and will make a seed investment into both funds. Novogratz hinted that the funds were in the works on CNBC.
The Galaxy Bitcoin Fund will require a $25,000 minimum investment with optional quarterly redemptions. The Galaxy Institutional Bitcoin Fund will allow weekly withdrawals and require minimums higher than $25,000. Both funds will offer professional oversight of bitcoin storage, tax documentation, and client service support.
Paul Cappelli is the portfolio manager for both funds, though they will be passively managed, meaning the investments (in this case, bitcoin) are automatically selected. Galaxy’s asset management division is led by Steve Kurz.
It is unclear how much money Galaxy aims to raise from investors for either fund.
Currently, Galaxy Digital offers the Galaxy Crypto Index Fund, which provides exposure to the largest cryptocurrencies by market cap by tracking the Bloomberg Galaxy Crypto Index.

The number of Americans who own cryptocurrencies has almost doubled in 2019, from 7.95% in 2018 to 14.4%, according to a new survey by Finder.
36.5 million Americans own crypto
Finder, an Australia-based financial services firm, has surveyed 2,068 Americans to figure out that 36.5 million people in the United States own some form of crypto to date.
Titled “A rising number of Americans own crypto,” the survey was released on Oct. 14, as Finder tweeted.
Average $5,447 holdings versus $360 median amount
According to the survey, the average amount out of the totally owned crypto by Americans accounts for $5,447. However, as nearly three-quarters of respondents actually held less than this amount, the median amount — the value separating the higher part — of cryptocurrency owned by U.S. people stands at $360.
More than half of American crypto holders are considered as “crypto polygamists” as 55.4% of Bitcoin (BTC) owners surveyed by Finder claimed that they also own another form of cryptocurrency. Similarly to other surveys, Finder’s survey says that men own crypto at nearly twice the rate of women, with 19% of men surveyed claiming they hold some type of crypto versus just 10% of women.
3 Reasons to own and not own crypto
According to Finder, the majority of Americans are owning some form of cryptocurrency because they consider it a type of investment. As such, 61% of respondents claimed that own crypto for investment purposes, while just 29.3% said they use it for transaction purposes. Meanwhile, as much as 25.6% of U.S. people hold crypto because they want to store their money outside traditional financial institutions.

The Twitter CEO reportedly gave a straightforward answer to the question if Twitter would ever consider joining Facebook’s Libra project. His response was short but all-telling: “Hell no.” He added:
"Nothing within Libra had to be a cryptocurrency to do what they wanted to do."
Reacting to Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg's speech at Georgetown University, Dorsey said that a lot of Zuckerberg's comments seemed to be based in American tradition. Zuckerberg’s speech focused on the subject of freedom of speech, censorship and the role tech platforms should play in democracy. The speech also criticized China’s approach to tech development. Dorsey said, ”I fear that if we base too much in this one concept, we take away the ability to experiment and expand,” explaining:
"We are not just serving an American audience, we are serving a global audience [...] The internet is somewhat of an emerging nation-state."

Crypto Capital首席执行官因涉嫌利用Bitfinex洗钱被捕

Crypto Capital President Ivan Manuel Molina Lee was arrested by Polish authorities, accused of being part of an international drug cartel and involved in its money-laundering operations using Bitfinex, according to several Polish news sites.
Crypto Capital was a company with which Bitfinex allegedly entrusted $850 million, money the exchange said it was unable to access later. To cover the loss, the exchange conducted a $1 billion token sale in May.
It was previously reported that the Polish Ministry of Justice had seized bank accounts in name of Crypto SP. Z O.O. The seized funds, which amount to $350 million, reportedly belonged to Crypto SP. Z O.O. and NESP SP. Z O.O., two companies likely affiliated with Crypto Capital and Molina Lee, according to several financial documents. The seizure was a part of an anti-money laundering operation conducted by the Polish authority.
Polish Media RMF 24 said Molina Lee was sought by Polish authorities in connection with the seized funds, which was “about laundering money from Colombian drug cartels through the cryptocurrency exchange,” the article said.
