   <p>The tagline for today’s virtual Apple event was “Time Flies,” so it’s no surprise the marquee item was the new and improved Apple Watch.    <p>On the outside, the Series 6 doesn’t look that much different from its predecessors. But on the inside, <a href="https://www.pcmag.com/news/apple-watch-series-6-adds-blood-oxygen-sensor-new-color-options">there’s a new sensor</a> that measures the oxygen saturation of your blood, also known as SpO2. An always-on altimeter will also display elevation changes in real time; the existing always-on display also gets a boost. Sadly, battery life does not.</p>

   <p>If $399 is a little pricey, the <a href="https://www.pcmag.com/news/apple-watch-series-6-adds-blood-oxygen-sensor-new-color-options">new Apple Watch SE</a> features the same display size as Series 6, fall detection, a compass, and an always-on altimeter. It’s a regular Retina display, however, not always-on and there’s no blood-oxygen or ECG apps. It’s also only available in an aluminum finish (the Series 6 offers stainless steel and titanium options). But those trade-offs help keep the price down.
